What is the difference between base coat paint and primer paint?

you are stupid 4 asking that question dum... dum.....What is the difference between base coat paint and primer paint?
Aprimer is usually used for raw unpainted sheetrock..or previously painted surfaces that have mold, ink marks, scuff marks etc, to seal before painting..basicaly a ';base coat'; can be the same paint as you do the finish coat with and simply means that it is the first coat, and there is going to be two coats applied...These terms can be misenterpreted very easily, but as an experienced painter of 37 years..when we use the term ';base coat'; we simply mean the first coat of the same paint we are going to finish it withWhat is the difference between base coat paint and primer paint?
Yes, there is a difference. Base coat is the first coat of the paint color you will be using to finish the room (the second and third coats come after the base coat).

Primer is used before using the base coat. Primer is a mix of glue and paint which allows better adherance of the paint.

Oh... and the first person here who told you that you were stupid for asking this question... well, the only question that is stupid is the one left unasked. So ignore the ignorant people on here.
