I have been painting my cabinets, how do I get primer off my paint brushes?

I live in a trailer home, and decided to make my kitchen look alot nicer, buy painting the kitchen cabinet doors, I was told to prime my cabinet doors then later paint them. Well I have been having a hard time with my paint brushes, cause that primer gets on my paint brushes really bad, and well what can I do to get this stuff off, and be able to reuse my paint brushes?I have been painting my cabinets, how do I get primer off my paint brushes?
If its an oil primer (sounds like it is) use paint thinner. For future reference use latex (water based) primer.I have been painting my cabinets, how do I get primer off my paint brushes?
If they are dry I am afraid you need to throw them away. However if the brush is wet you can you a solvent. Acetone would work nicely. Good luck!
terps, rinse in terps and keep them in a glass jar of it, try to get water based paints as a lot easier to work with and lot less smelly
It does depend on what kind of primer you are using. And there should be direction for cleaning your brushes, which should be done as soon as possible after you are done with each task - don't let the paint set in and harden.

Alternative is to buy real cheap paint brushes and toss them when you are done using them.
