as a painter I can tell you nothing works although if it's fresh enough there is hope. water and soap for water-based paints.

You might try a product called Goof-Off, made by Valspar of Wheeling, IL. You can find it at Wal-Mart or any hardware or home improvement store. You'll want to follow the directions of course, using a little at a time on an ';inconspicuous'; area first. Be careful not to let it get on worn vinyl floors, automotive paint or some plastics; you'll want to protect those areas with newspaper or an old cloth. Hope this helps!
White spirits or turpentine, rinse straight away with cold water , then wash on normal wash
