I recently got sprayed with flecks of primer and trying to get it off in the easiest way possible without damaging the original paint job. Any help would be great!Anyone know how to get primer paint off of a car?
It will probably need to be buffed off, then probably a new clear coat...Anyone know how to get primer paint off of a car?
lacquer primer remove with lacquer thinner oil base primer remove with bug and tar if its pesky step up to acetone (,fingernail polish remover ) all ways start light and move upward .Don't get thinner on any plastic parts it will attack. If you take you're time you should be fine.
you might be able to buff it off of it with the right compound,go by a local body shop and have them look at it,they might have some real good cutting compound that will get it off, other wise you may have to wet sand it out with 1000 grit paper,it wont damage the paint ,then it has to be buffed after that is done, but if it stuck real good its going to be hard to get off, good luck with it,hope this helps.
First: Bug and Tar remover.
Second: clay bar
Third: wax
I don't think thats gonna happen, the most delicate way you can do it is light swipes with a cloth soaked in paint thinner or lacqour thinner, other than that, you'll be stuck sanding it and repainting it.
