Should i mix it with both of these when spraying and at what ratio.I am spraying a metal canopy for a ute.

Most generally the paint, etch primer, and putty would all require some type of catalyst (hardener). A good rule of thumb for each: paint 3:1:1 3 parts paint, 1 part hardener, 1 part reducer; etch primer 1:1 1 part primer, 1 part reducer/catalyst; putty 1:1-1/4 1 part putty, 10%-25% hardener. It's not specified what type of hardener you were supplied with so it's hard to say specifically what to mix where. Check the cans and see what it recomends for all.A friend gave me some paint. Some etch primer ,primer putty and hardener. What should i mix the hardener with?
Each item has its own hardner and/or reducer

paint will have both a hardner and a reducer - normal mix ratios are 4:1:1 - 4 parts paint - and local paint stores will have mixing cups with these marks on them

etching primer - is a primer with acid mixed in to etch onto bare metal - it is not used unless there is bare metal and you cannot paint over it - you will need another primer like epoxy to coat the surface - in fact, epoxy is just better to use all around and I wouldn't even use etch primer

primer putty ? hmm that sounds like something used to fill little chips before paint - i dont think you would need that on a canopy - that would have an automotive application
Sometimes manufacturers of this type of filler supply a plastic filling blade. Did you receive this too? If so, they are sometimes coloured the same as what the mixed filler + hardener should look like when mixed to the correct ratio. Usually a pale pinky-beige. Beware the filler once mixed will set reasonably quickly. Try not to over-fill too much as it requires a reasonable amount of elbow grease to sand.
You should mix the putty with the hardener get old piece of wood or plastic put a lump roughly 2'; x 2'; of the putty on it then put a 1.5'; line of hardener on and mix them together you shouldn't be far off with that!
