My sisters room is pink how many coats of primer will it take to paint over it?

the color we want to paint over the HOT HOT pink is light blue.My sisters room is pink how many coats of primer will it take to paint over it?
They make really good primer paints especially for going over dark colors. IT should only take 1 coat of primer.

Light blue . . . . . . . now thats HOT!My sisters room is pink how many coats of primer will it take to paint over it?
Use ';kilz 2 pigmented primer ';,......also stain blocker.....maybe 1 coat if done right!
I would do two coats just to be on the safe side. My bedroom was mauve-pink and was painted lavender.
If you use a high quality primer such as Kilz then you should only need 1 coat of primer.
Should only take one coat. Zinnzer (sp?) and Kilz can both be tinted to a color close to the new color you want to paint.
Since it is a bright pink i would guess about 2-3 coats of primer. If you go with tinted primer it'll be even less.
Probably two with a high-hide primer. My favorite is Kilz latex.
maybe 2. use the best quality you can buy
two coats, very thin ones

, and maybe paint some white, paint before you paint the blue
do two coats.... one coat of the very best primer MIGHT do it, but two is better , no matter what kind of primer you use...
Go to a paint shop and let them help you. They have all kinds of neat ways to cover paints.
Invest in a Primer called Kilz, its the best I have ever used.

One coat ,then Paint, NO-bleeding through. Be sure to let

it Dry real good,24h. Then painter Light Blue.

Good Color

Have Fun.
